Max Stassi Breaks Homerless Streak
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels catcher Max Stassi had a good game at the plate on Friday, collecting two hits in four at-bats. One of those hits was a two-run home run in the fourth inning, and he ended the day with three RBI. It was Stassi's first long ball since August 19, and he's been slumping for almost two months, slashing .181/.273/.302 with three home runs since the start of August. Those numbers hardly compare to his first 46 games, in which he slashed .305/.382/.536 with nine home runs. Overall this season, he's hitting .251 with a .769 OPS and 12 HRs across 83 games. Fantasy managers should keep benching Stassi until he proves he's closer to the hitter he showed in the first half of his season.
