3 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Peter Lambert took a no-decision on Friday when he allowed two runs on four hits with one walk and two strikeouts over 3 2/3 innings in a 7-2 loss to the San Francisco Giants. Lambert, who's been on the shelf while recovering from Tommy John surgery, was making his first start since 2019. He pitched relatively well considering the long absence and the quality of the opponent he was facing. He served up a pair of solo home runs to Tommy La Stella and Brandon Crawford and was yanked before getting through four innings. He only threw 38 strikes out of 65 total pitches so he definitely has to work on his command. He'll likely get one more start before the season is over but that's to be determined.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
