3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles left tackle Jordan Mailata (knee) has been ruled out for the team's matchup Monday vs. the Cowboys. While it was reported earlier in the week that Mailata is dealing with a sprained MCL, the team waited until Saturday to make his status official, naming Andre Dillard the starter in his stead. Mailata has been the breakout star of the Eagles' offensive line and can be seen as a major loss as the team attempts to keep quarterback Jalen Hurts in a position to trade scoring drives with Dallas. Dillard made four starts with Philadelphia in 2019, but he logged just two offensive snaps over the first two weeks this year. The next chance that Mailata will have to return to action comes in Week 4 against Kansas City.--Jesse Borek
