Chase Elliott Nearly Wins at Las Vegas
3 years agoChase Elliott had some excellent numbers in Las Vegas but suffered from some bad luck. On Sunday night, it was the rest of the Hendricks Motorsports Racing team that suffered while Elliott nearly rode his No. 9 car to victory. In the end, he came up just short behind the winner, Denny Hamlin. The second-place result gives Elliott a huge springboard into the next phase of the playoff chase. What was more impressive was how Elliott was out of the top ten after the second stage and came within 0.442 seconds of victory. Talladega looms next for the No. 9 car.
