Shohei Ohtani Masterful On The Mound Sunday
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (9-2) pitched a brilliant game against the Seattle Mariners on Sunday, throwing seven innings with one run, no walks, and 10 strikeouts. He had little run support, however, and the Angels ended up losing 5-1. It's his second start in a row with 10 strikeouts and fourth overall on the year. Over 23 starts, the AL-MVP favorite has a 3.18 ERA, 29.3 K%, 8.3 BB%, and 1.09 WHIP across 130.1 IP. There's no word on if Ohtani will start again this season. He'll still help fantasy managers with his bat the rest of the way and has a .258/.371/.595 slash line with 45 HRs and 24 SBs.
