3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers rookie running back Trey Sermon carried the ball 10 times for 31 yards and a touchdown while catching two receptions for three yards in a 30-28 Week 3 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Sermon did not look good against a pedestrian Packers run defense on Sunday night, but he did manage to convert a one-yard goal-line carry for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. With how difficult it is to predict the primary ball carrier in head coach Kyle Shanahan's offensive scheme week-to-week, Sermon should be valued as a low-end RB3 with RB2 upside moving into Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks.--Matt MacKay - RotoBaller
