Josh Rogers Melts Down In Fifth Inning Sunday
3 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Josh Rogers was off to another outstanding start Sunday against the Cincinnati Reds, putting up four scoreless innings, but he melted down in the fifth and finished his day with three runs allowed on seven hits and four walks in 4 2/3 innings. He struck out three batters and gave up two home runs in his first loss of the year. Rogers has been a revelation down the stretch, and while fantasy managers in playoff situations will be loathe to trust him, he may have played himself into streaming consideration for 2022.
