Packy Naughton Disastrous On The Mound Tuesday
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels left-hander Packy Naughton (0-4) had a miserable start against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday, pitching just two innings. He gave up four runs on four hits while walking three and striking out no one. It's his third start in a row allowing four runs, and he's pitched just 8.2 innings combined in those starts. The Angels called up Naughton on August 27 after pitching to a 4.90 ERA split between Double-A and Triple-A. Across 22.2 innings in the majors, he owns a 6.35 ERA with 12 strikeouts, 14 walks, and a 1.81 WHIP over five starts and seven appearances. He's irrelevant in every league and has little upside in dynasty formats. Fantasy managers looking to add a starting pitcher during the last week should look elsewhere.
