3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Janson Junk (0-1) looked good in Wednesday's start against the Texas Rangers, giving up two runs over 4 2/3 innings. He added five strikeouts, no walks and he surrendered seven hits as the Angels went on to win 7-2. It was just the fourth start of his career and the first time he's had more than two strikeouts in a game. He now owns a 3.86 ERA along with a 14.1 K% and 2.8 BB%, although he's let up five homers in just 16 1/3 innings. Before being promoted on Sept. 3, he was pitching well in Double-A with a 2.81 ERA and 97 strikeouts in 93 innings. He has a chance to stick around in the rotation but has little value in any leagues right now, and he doesn't have enough upside to be stashed in dynasty formats.--Spencer Seguin - RotoBaller
