Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Out Of Thursday's Lineup
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (hand) is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the New York Yankees. According to Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet, he is still experiencing hand soreness and is day-to-day. Gurriel Jr. previously missed three games recently after injuring his hand during a play in the outfield. He's having another productive season at the dish, slashing .280/.323/.474 with 21 HRs, and he has a .923 OPS in the second half. Randal Grichuk will take his place in the outfield and bat ninth. Grichuk doesn't offer much, as he's slashed .245/.285/.429, but he does have 22 HRs over 146 games. He's a decent streaming option for fantasy managers looking for outfield help.
