3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (calf) didn't take the field to begin the second half of Sunday's matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Instead, he remained on the sidelines with a calf injury, opening the door for rookie signal-caller Trey Lance to take over under center. It's unfortunate news, considering the veteran was playing relatively well before succumbing to the ailment, racking up 165 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Garoppolo is questionable to return. However, since he was anticipated to have a productive Week 4 showing, his absence is undoubtedly unpleasant for the fantasy managers who had him in their starting lineups.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
