David Montgomery's Injury Believed To Be A Hyperextension
3 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery (knee) will have an MRI on Monday. Montgomery suffered a left knee injury during the Week 4 win over the Detroit Lions and did not return. The news is rather unfortunate, primarily since the 24-year-old was having a day before going down, racking up 23 carries for 106 yards and two scores. However, luckily, the initial thought is that he suffered a hyperextension and didn't sustain any significant damage. Still, until he receives a definite diagnosis, fantasy managers will undoubtedly continue to hope for the best. Nonetheless, if Montgomery misses time moving forward, which is very possible, Damien Williams, who had eight carries for 55 yards and a touchdown in Week 4, will see his fantasy stock rise tremendously.
