Tom Brady Held Scoreless In Win Over Patriots
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady completed 22 of 43 passing attempts for 269 yards in a 19-17 win over the Patriots. Brady didn't exactly fill up the box score in his return to Foxborough, though he did make history, surpassing Drew Brees on the NFL's all-time passing yards list with a 28-yard completion to Mike Evans in the first quarter. While it was disappointing to see a zero in the touchdown column, Brady still attempted 43 passes, giving him an average of 46 through the first four weeks of play, something that doesn't appear likely to change with the Buccaneers defensive backfield in shambles. The veteran signal-caller looks poised for a bounce-back performance next week against the Dolphins.
