Chris Carson Unproductive With Limited Carries
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson rushed for 30 yards on 13 carries and caught his only target for one yard during Sunday's 28-21 win over the San Francisco 49ers. It was the third straight week that Carson had 13 carries or less in each game. The 27-year-old isn't dealing with an injury but was ineffective on Sunday, averaging 2.3 yards per carry. Veteran running back Alex Collins had 10 carries and scored a touchdown off the bench in Week 4. The Seahawks are facing the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday; Seattle could have limited Carson (who's dealt with injuries throughout his career) with the short turnaround in an effort to keep him healthy. Carson has 232 rushing yards on 54 attempts and three touchdowns while catching all six of his targets for 29 yards over four games in 2021. The Oklahoma State product is a low-end RB2 against the Rams in Week 5.
