Can Yuli Gurriel Change October Narrative?
3 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel will head into the team's ALDS against the White Sox trying to put his October woes in the past. Gurriel enjoyed another strong regular season, slashing .319/.383/.462 with 15 home runs, 31 doubles, 81 runs batted in and 83 runs scored through 143 games. Gurriel hit .330 in the month of September but has struggled offensively in the playoffs. Over his last 39 playoff games, The 37-year-old is only 30-for-147 (.204) with only eight extra-base hits. Gurriel will face the White Sox starter Lance Lynn in Game 1.
