3 years agoHouston Astros infielder Marwin Gonzalez was left off the team's 26-man roster for the American League Division Series. Gonzalez hit .199 with a .275 on-base percentage, five home runs, and three stolen bases in 307 plate appearances this season. The veteran started the season with the Boston Red Sox but joined the Astros in late August after being released by Boston. Gonzalez appeared in 14 games for Houston and recorded just six hits in 36 plate appearances. However, three of those hits were home runs. The Astros will have five infielders on the roster for the series against the Chicago White Sox, Alex Bregman, Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa, Yuli Gurriel, and Aledmys Diaz.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
