Russell Wilson Dealing With "Badly Sprained Finger"
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson (finger) is dealing with a badly sprained finger. "He's got a badly sprained finger that we need to figure out," said head coach Pete Carroll. In the fourth quarter, the 32-year-old exited Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Rams after hitting his finger on a Rams' defensive player's helmet. Wilson completed 11-of-16 passes for 152 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, adding 10 rushing yards on two attempts before exiting. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Wilson, who never misses games, surgery has not been ruled out for the Seahawks quarterback. "Russell's one of the great healers of all time, and he'll do whatever he can to get back as soon as absolutely possible," said Carroll. Former New York Jets QB Geno Smith is expected to be the Seahawks starting signal caller if Wilson were to miss any games. Smith completed 10-of-17 passes for 131 yards with a touchdown and an interception in place of Wilson Thursday night. Stay tuned for further updates.
