3 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Ji-Man Choi went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Game 2 of the American League Division Series 14-6 loss to the Boston Red Sox. He took Tanner Houck deep in the sixth inning to reduce the Rays deficit 8-6. The 30-year-old was initially out of the lineup but replaced Jordan Luplow in the top of the fourth inning. He sat for the second straight game with the Red Sox starting two southpaws in Games 1 and 2. Choi slashed .245/.374/.429 with 11 homers, 40 RBI, and 31 runs scored against right-handers over 227 plate appearances in 2021.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
