3 years agoMartin Truex Jr. stands in fifth place when it comes to the playoff standings. That should be safe enough to advance into the Round Of 8. However, Truex Jr. wants to win or at least contend highly at Charlotte. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver has led just a combined six laps in the three races there. Expecting him to win may be a stretch but the two seventh-place results the last two seasons offer hope for another good result. That is all the No. 19 needs on Sunday. It is the adage.
