3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (calf) could return in Week 7 after the team's bye, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. When Garoppolo is healthy again, he will slot in as the 49ers' starter, sending rookie Trey Lance back to the bench. This is a promising timetable for Garoppolo, who wasn't ruled out for Week 5 until this past Friday. Of course, the bye week comes at the perfect time, offering the signal-caller an extra seven days to heal and work with the medical staff.
