Juju Smith-Schuster Undergoes Season-Ending Shoulder Surgery
3 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (shoulder) underwent surgery on his injured shoulder Sunday and is out for the season. He initially injured his shoulder in Sunday's win over the Broncos. The 24-year-old re-signed a one-year, $8 million contract with the Steelers in the offseason, hoping to regain his 2018 form. He finished the 2021 campaign with 15 receptions on 28 targets for 129 yards and a touchdown over five games. Smith-Schuster will become an unrestricted free agent this offseason. Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool, and James Washington (groin) should all see an uptick in targets while Smith-Schuster is sidelined.
