Clyde Edwards-Helaire Placed On Injured Reserve
3 years agoKansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) has been placed on the injured reserve list and will miss a minimum of three weeks. The sophomore suffered the injury on Sunday night against the Buffalo Bills but dodged a potentially serious injury as he has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL. In his absence, Darrel Williams will likely see the lion's share of touches in the backfield, and serve as the early-down and goal-line back. Jerick McKinnon will likely see an increased role as well, but he still doesn't have any starting lineup appeal for fantasy managers. Moving forward, Williams has the look of a solid FLEX option, while McKinnon can be stashed on benches.
