Corey Knebel Starting Game One Of NLCS
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers right-hander Corey Knebel will start the first game of the NLCS against Max Fried and the Atlanta Braves. It will be Knebel's second start of the postseason after he opened game five of the division series with an inning of no-run ball. The 29-year old had a shortened but successful season on the mound pitching to a 2.45 ERA, 29.7 K%, and 0.97 WHIP with three saves over 25.2 IP. Expect another brief start for the reliever with Tony Gonsolin pitching in a bulk role out of the bullpen. Gonsolin had an injury-riddled season but still posted a 3.23 ERA with 65 strikeouts in 13 starts and 55.2 innings.
