3 years agoAndrei Svechnikov scored with six minutes left in Saturday night's game as the Carolina Hurricanes went on to defeat Nashville 3-2. This gave Carolina two wins in as many games but more importantly, Svechnikov is making an incredible impact. He has three goals, 12 scoring chances, and 11 shots on goal. Let that sink in. The Russian forward has more scoring chances than shots. That is rare. This is all with just a 44% offensive-zone deployment rate. With early excellent possession numbers, there is little reason to expect a drop in production anytime soon. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
