3 years agoTampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov wasn't able to complete Saturday's 2-1 overtime win against the Capitals, leaving the game in the third period with an undisclosed injury. The 2019 MVP appeared to hurt his groin while chasing a puck and trying to avoid an opponent. Head coach Jon Cooper didn't have an immediate update on Kucherov's status, saying that he'll be re-evaluated after the Lightning get back home to Tampa. The two-time defending champions will be back on the ice against Florida on Tuesday, leaving Kucherov with very little time to recover.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
