The Capitals captain also registered a game-high eight shots and picked up two hits in 23:43 of action. He passed Mark Messier on the all-time total goals list, moving to fifth with his 804th career marker. He's notched 733 goals in the regular season and now needs just nine to get past Brett Hull and take the fourth spot on the all-time list.
