Darrel Williams Finds End Zone Twice In Week 6
3 years agoFilling in for Kansas City Chiefs starting running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee), Darrel Williams rushed for 62 yards on 21 carries with a pair of touchdowns in Week 6 versus the Washington Football Team. He also caught three of his four targets for 27 yards. The 21 rush attempts were a season-high for an individual in the Chiefs backfield this year. Williams scored on a two-yard rush in the first quarter and followed that up with a three-yard rush in the third quarter. The veteran will continue to see extended time with Edwards-Helaire on Injured Reserve and out for at least the next two contests. Backup running back Jerick McKinnon saw some action as a pass-catcher out of the backfield, but Williams was a workhorse on the ground. Moving forward, Williams will face a weak Tennessee Titans defense in Week 7 and should be considered an RB2 for as long as Edwards-Helaire is sidelined.
