Alex Collins Picks Up A DNP On Thursday
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Alex Collins (groin) sat out Thursday's practice with a groin injury. Collins was expected to practice, but watched from the sidelines this afternoon. After dealing with hip and glute injuries from the team's matchup in Week 6, it's possible that the team just wanted to give Collins a day of rest to freshen up. The Seahawks are already dealing with Chris Carson (neck) on injured reserve, but Rashaad Penny (calf) is expected to be activated from injured reserve in time for Week 7. Penny has proven to be one of the most fragile players in the game, so it's fair to wonder how many touches he will get upon his return. If Collins were to miss Monday's matchup in Week 7, managers can expect Penny, DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer to all see touches. Managers should wait and see if Collins practices on Friday, but the return of Penny will hurt his value and the Seahawks crowded backfield may be best to avoid in deeper formats moving forward.
