3 years agoSan Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan said rookie quarterback Trey Lance (knee) is "on pace" to practice Wednesday. According to Shanahan, Lance will likely be limited if he does practice this week. The No.3 pick in the 2021 NFL draft will back up Jimmy Garoppolo in Week 8 against the Chicago Bears if he's active. Lance has been dealing with an MCL sprain in his left knee and has been sidelined since Week 5. The 21-year-old is considered day-to-day.
