Jaroslav Halak Gives Thatcher Demko A Breather
3 years agoVancouver Canucks goaltender Jaroslav Halak will make his second appearance of the season in Thursday's home game against Philadelphia. The veteran gets back to action after Thatcher Demko made four consecutive starts. Halak started his career in Vancouver with a 3-1 loss to Detroit, saving 18 of 20 shots in the game. He has seen plenty of the Flyers throughout his long career, going 11-6-3 in the matchup with a 2.40 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage. Getting close to the same kind of numbers on Thursday will likely take a big effort, with Philadelphia having so far scored 4.60 goals a night.
