3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers tight end Jared Cook has been having a solid debut season with his new team, but will draw a tough matchup versus the New England Patriots in Week 8. The Patriots defense has held opposing tight ends to just 2.5 receptions per game and 29 yards per game. With the Chargers offense focused around quarterback Justin Herbert getting the ball to running back Austin Ekeler and wide receivers Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, Week 8 is shaping up to be a week that managers in deeper leagues should consider other options than Cook at the position. With Ekeler, Williams and Allen all ahead of Cook for targets, it makes the veteran a matchup-based play in most matchups. Heading into Week 8, Cook is a TE2.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
