3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams (ankle, elbow) is officially active for Sunday's bout against the Bears. The veteran was expected to play in Week 8 all along, although the official confirmation is undoubtedly welcome news, especially after the 33-year-old missed the Week 7 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. With the Chicago defense making life miserable for opposing quarterbacks during the 2021-22 campaign, Williams' presence should help Jimmy Garoppolo stay upright a bit more.
