Mike Williams Disappears In Week 8 Loss
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams posted his second straight poor performance in a row during a Week 8 loss versus the New England Patriots. The big receiver has been healthy this season and started the season on fire, but had just two catches for 19 yards and has just four receptions for 46 yards over his last two games. Overall, Williams has been having a great season, but he shaping up as a boom-or-bust option. Compared to his teammate and wide receiver Keenan Allen, Williams has proven to have a high ceiling, but low floor and Allen has proven to be more consistent and the safer Chargers wide receiver to roster. Quarterback Justin Herbert has struggled over the past two contests and that could be a reason for Williams and his back-to-back poor performances. The Chargers have an explosive offense when their offense is going in the right direction and managers shouldn't worry too much about Williams moving forward. Facing the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 9, Williams will look to get back on track. He remains a WR2 with WR1 upside moving forward at the moment.
