3 years agoCarolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) could once again be nearing a return to the field, potentially as soon as Week 9 vs. New England, per Panthers head coach Matt Rhule. "If it's not this week, hopefully it's next week," Rhule said, keeping the options open for the team to hold their star back out until Week 10 against the Cardinals, or even further if all goes against plan. Chuba Hubbard has served as McCaffrey's primary replacement out of the backfield, but there are single-digit players in the league that can put up comparable production to No. 22 when healthy. Check back throughout the week as it appears that fantasy managers are in for more McCaffrey practice updates, as he will be an obvious must-start in all formats if he is cleared, along with retaining his massive DFS upside.--Jesse Borek
