3 years agoThe Tennessee Titans have signed running back Adrian Peterson after the recent news that Derrick Henry (foot) would require surgery after suffering a fracture in Sunday's 34-31 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Peterson spent last season with the Detroit Lions, rushing 156 times for 604 yards and seven touchdowns. According to Ian Rapoport, the veteran will be signed to the practice squad and then elevated to the active roster where he will join Jeremy McNichols in the backfield. As of now, he looks like the primary ball-carrier in the offense, but fantasy managers should wait and see what happens leading up to Tuesday's trade deadline, as the Titans could still be looking to add to their backfield. If Peterson is the only running back added to the backfield after the deadline, he would be worth an add from the waiver wire strictly based on his potential volume and opportunities close to the goal line. The 36-year-old has his best days well behind him, but he could offer some value to fantasy managers in need of positional depth for the second half of the season.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBaller
