Ronald Guzman Declares Free Agency
3 years agoTexas Rangers first baseman Ronald Guzman has declared free agency after being outrighted off the roster on Friday. First baseman Curtis Terry, infielder Anderson Tejeda, and relief pitcher Matt Bush were also dropped from the roster and are eligible to declare free agency. Guzman only registered 16 at-bats in the 2021 season, totaling one hit, a home run, but he has flashed power with 31 home runs in 737 at-bats over four major-league seasons. He has the ability to make a fantasy impact should he land a starting role in 2022, though that would appear unlikely.
