Cordarrelle Patterson Excels As Receiver In Sunday's Win
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Cordarrelle Patterson struggled as a ball-carrier but found success in the passing game in Sunday's win over the Saints. Patterson averaged just 1.1 yards per carry but tallied a season-high 126 receiving yards on six catches. The dynamic halfback picked up a healthy chunk of yardage on one play late in the fourth quarter, beating the Saints defense deep downfield for a 64-yard play that helped set up a game-winning field goal. Patterson has been about as reliable an option as they come, particularly in PPR formats where he has produced five games with 50-plus receiving yards and six with five-plus receptions. He'll be in the RB1 discussion against Dallas next week.
