3 years agoThe Arizona Cardinals fear running back Chase Edmonds suffered a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's 31-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers. He rushed for three yards on one carry before exiting after injuring his ankle on the first play. The 25-year-old will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of his injury. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, if Edmonds sustained a high-ankle sprain, he could be placed on injured reserve and could be sidelined for 4-to-6 weeks. The Fordham product has rushed 430 on 76 carries and a touchdown while catching 53 passes for 402 yards and four scores over nine games. James Conner would see an expanded role and lead the Cardinals backfield while Edmonds is sidelined. Stay tuned for further updates.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
