Matthew Stafford Suffers Mild Ankle Sprain In Week 9
3 years agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (ankle) sprained his ankle during Sunday's 28-16 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Stafford "is good" after he sustained a "mild kind of ankle sprain" against the Titans, said head coach Sean McVay. "He came back in and competed well. He was sore today, but expect him to be able to take it a day at a time. But I think he'll be good to go." Stafford struggled in Week 9, completing 31-of-48 passes for 294 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. The 33-year-old is expected to play and remains a strong fantasy option against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 10. Fantasy managers can start Stafford with confidence as a surefire QB1 for Monday Night Football.
