3 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed free-agent tight end Darren Fells to their practice squad on Wednesday. He is expected to be elevated to the 53-man roster before Sunday's game against the Washington Football Team. The 35-year-old was targeted just five times in seven games for the Lions, catching four passes for 43 yards. Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski (back) is dealing with a back issue, and his status is up in the air in Week 10. The former Detroit Lion is behind Gronk, O.J. Howard, and Cameron Brate on the tight end depth chart. Despite Gronk being banged up, Fells would provide Tampa Bay depth at tight end but is not on the fantasy radar in 2021.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
