3 years agoAccording to The Miami Herald's Barry Jackson, the Miami Marlins made an offer to free-agent outfielder Starling Marte. The veteran began the 2021 season with the Marlins, hitting .305 with a .405 on-base percentage, seven home runs, and 22 stolen bases in 233 plate appearances before he was traded to the Oakland Athletics on July 28 for pitcher Jesus Luzardo.
