Miles Sanders Designated To Return From Injured Reserve
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (ankle) has been designated to return from the injured reserve, which gives the team 21 days to activate him for game day. Practice this week will help to determine if the Eagles think Sanders is healthy enough to play against the Saints, but it would be wise to keep him on the bench regardless until we see how snaps are split between Sanders, Jordan Howard, Boston Scott, and Kenneth Gainwell. The Eagles were just starting to commit to the run when Sanders got hurt, so it's possible that he comes back to more usage than he saw earlier in the season; however, Jordan Howard has been surprisingly effective while Sanders was gone and could retain short yardage usage, which could sap some of Sanders' touchdown value the rest of the way.
