3 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Ty Montgomery (finger, hand) was unable to suit up for Wednesday's practice after having sustained a gruesome left pinkie finger injury last Sunday. Montgomery has traditionally logged a limited role in the Saints offense this season, but he has been an important depth piece, especially should running back Alvin Kamara (knee) miss any additional time. Head coach Sean Payton further divulged last week that Montgomery's injury was even worse than perceived, which does not bode well for his chances of suiting up Sunday against Philadelphia. Look for receivers Tre'Quan Smith, Marquez Callaway, Deonte Harris and Kenny Stills to hold down top wideout roles should Montgomery be confirmed to need a week off.--Jesse Borek
