3 years agoCalgary Flames goaltender Jacob Markstrom stopped all 27 shots he faced in Thursday's 5-0 victory over Buffalo, becoming the 10th goalie in NHL history to post five shutouts in 13 or fewer games. He's only the fourth one to do it in the modern era (since 1943-44). it's been an amazing start to the campaign for Markstrom, although his 6-3-4 record clearly needs some work. The Swedish netminder has recorded a 1.68 goals-against average so far with a .942 save percentage. Calgary's offense has let him down in recent times, but maybe the goals will start flowing again now that they have enjoyed a five-goal outing.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
