Astros Interested In Signing A Top Shortstop
3 years agoThe Houston Astros are in the market for one of the top free-agent shortstops, according to Buster Olney of ESPN. With Carlos Correa hitting the open market, the Astros have a major hole at the position, but there are a lot of big-name free-agent shortstops this offseason. Trevor Story, Corey Seager, Marcus Semien and Javier Baez join Correa on the open market. However, there will be lots of competition, as a number of teams are interested in signing one of the names listed. If they fail to add a shortstop, they're projected to have Aledmys Diaz start there next season. He appeared in 84 games last season, slashing .259/.317/.405 with eight home runs and doesn't offer a whole lot in terms of fantasy value.
