Courtland Sutton Signs Four-Year Contract Extension
3 years agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has signed a four-year contract extension worth $60.8 million, with $34.9 million in guaranteed money. Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick, and K.J. Hamler, will headline the Denver receiving core for years to come, which is an extremely appealing group of pass-catchers for a quarterback to throw to. Sutton tore his ACL in the 2020 season after putting up over 1,100 receiving yards in the 2019 campaign and has looked extremely impressive at times this year just one year removed from a significant injury. The 26-year-old has shown he can produce as an alpha wide receiver when given the opportunity and should be able to continue doing that moving forward. He has seen his target share decrease quite drastically over the past four games, as he has been thrown to just 14 times. Still, the investment the Broncos have made in him likely means they envision a significant role for him moving forward. He can be valued at the WR2/WR3 borderline for the remainder of the season.
