Michael Carter Expected To Miss 2-3 Weeks
3 years agoNew York Jets running back Michael Carter (ankle) is expected to miss two to three weeks after being diagnosed with a high ankle sprain in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Carter has seen an uptick in fantasy value over the past few weeks, so his injury comes at a time where he was nearing weekly RB2 territory. In the rookie's absence, Tevin Coleman and Ty Johnson will lead the New York backfield. Johnson seems to be the more appealing fantasy option moving forward because of his role in the passing game, as he was targeted 24 times from Week 7 to Week 10. Coleman has had his issues staying healthy this year, so it is hard to envision him having a significant workload in Carter's absence. Johnson could be one of the hottest waiver-wire pickups heading into Week 12 action.
