David Bakhtiari Undergoes Arthroscopic Surgery
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari (knee) will not practice or play ahead of Week 12. The 30-year-old had arthroscopic surgery to clean up the knee that he had reconstructed back in January, so he will likely be out for a couple more weeks. The Packers just recently lost Pro Bowl guard Elgton Jenkins who had been playing left tackle, so they will be extremely shorthanded on their offensive line until Bakhtiari can make his return. Aaron Rodgers could be in for a rough day against the Rams pass rush on Sunday, so an effective run game could be the key to keep the star quarterback from taking big hits. Bakhtiari is expected to be back for the stretch run to close out the regular season, so there is a chance he can return to action after the team's Week 13 BYE.
