3 years agoThe New York Mets signed outfielder Nick Plummer to a one-year, Major League contract on Wednesday. Plummer, the 23rd-overall pick in the 2015 draft, previously spent his entire career in the St. Louis Cardinals organization. While he's yet to make his Major League debut, the outfielder hit .280 with a .415 on-base percentage, 15 home runs, and 13 stolen bases in 478 plate appearances split between St. Louis' Double-A and Triple-A affiliates last season. Plummer joins Brandon Nimmo, Dominic Smith, Mark Payton, and Khalil Lee as the Mets' outfield options on the 40-man roster, though infielders Jeff McNeil and J.D. Davis can both play as outfielders if need be.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
