3 years agoThe Texas Rangers are rumored to have interest in free agent starting pitcher Jon Gray, according to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com. Gray, 30, spent his entire seven-year career with the Colorado Rockies before hitting the open market this offseason. The Rockies didn't give him a qualifying offer, and so isn't tied to draft pick compensation. He managed a 4.59 ERA and 4.22 FIP with 157 strikeouts over 29 starts and 149 innings in 2021. This production is a bit worse than his career ERA and FIP of 4.13 and 4.08, respectively. Gray doesn't stick out in any category but could be a good sleeper if he can drop his ERA while pitching out of Coors Field.--Spencer Seguin - RotoBaller
